Mighty To Rejoice
This message will not be long, but there is someone who has to be reminded of this. I was messaging a friend who has just come across a wonderful blessing! He shared with me how he "wish I could tell you the times I went through and how only by God's grace I made it this far with this job!" My response to him was as follows and I realized this is something we should all remember:
"Wow!! That's awesome! Even though we always slip and make mistakes or be disobedient, it is always prominent that the Lord is faithful. "He who calls us is faithful" (I actually just read that this morning in 1 Thessalonians). If He has placed in your heart to pursue something, no matter how big or little the task, and we remain persistent in our trying, rejoicing, He will bless it. He may not promise it will be easy, but He has seen an "end goal" with His blessing stamped all over it and He is just as excited for it as we are. I don't think we remember that enough."
Therefore, I encourage you all: remember that the Lord is just as excited for your breakthrough as you are! God knows it will not always be a piece of cake, and if it is, you may still suffer from mild food poisoning, but He will honor your effort. He sees your obedience and He know your heart. He knows that you are trying for His name's renown. The only thing He wants to do is bless it and maybe not always in the matter that we may think; it may not even be in this life, it may be the next, but the beauty is, we don't know so we can continuously hope and have faith while in this one. When I told that to my friend, I instantly pictured God rejoicing mightily, as if His prodigal came home all over again and I believe this is the case for us all. Whatever it is you are going through, whatever barrier you are trying to get through or wall you trying to get over, just know that our Lord has seen you stumble, but He also felt you lean on you Him to catch your balance...and He will be with you rejoicing mightily once the giant is slain.
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.
